Sculptor. Born on February 13, 1915, in the village of Goryachevodsk near Pyatigorsk, Stavropol Krai. He arrived in Kyrgyzstan in 1947.

G. Burlyn's creative journey began at a mature age. A decisive role in his turn to sculpture was played by his acquaintance in 1951 with O.M. Manuilova, who taught him the basics of sculpting. His diligent work on self-education and natural sense of plasticity led G. Burlyn to create interesting sculptural works and participate in professional art exhibitions since 1951. Since 1961, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.

Awarded medals "For the Defense of the Caucasus" and "For Victory over Germany."
