Sculptor. Born on February 13, 1915, in the village of Goryachevodsk near Pyatigorsk, Stavropol Krai. He arrived in Kyrgyzstan in 1947.

G. Burlyn's creative journey began at a mature age. A decisive role in his turn to sculpture was played by his acquaintance in 1951 with O.M. Manuilova, who taught him the basics of sculpting.
