The Poet Baidilda Sarnogoev

In 1951, he graduated from Kyrgyz Secondary School No. 5 named after A. S. Pushkin in Frunze, and in 1956— from the Literary Institute named after A. M. Gorky under the USSR Union of Writers in Moscow.
Since 1956, he worked as the head of a department at the editorial office of the magazine "Ala-Too," and from 1959 to 1973— as a literary consultant for the Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan.
Since 1973, he has been engaged in creative work.
B. Sarnogoev's poetic talent revealed itself very early. He has been published since the age of 13. His first poetry collection "Shumkar" ("Falcon") was published in 1952. This collection immediately brought the author poetic fame, revealing his bright original talent. The works of B. Sarnogoev are characterized by high poetic quality and penetrating lyricism. Many of the poet's poems have been set to music by Kyrgyz composers and are very popular among listeners. The works of B. Sarnogoev have been translated and published in Russian, and some poems have been published in the press of fraternal republics.
The poetry collection "Ashuudan bergen otchetum" (1982, 1984) ("Reflections at the Pass") was awarded the literary prize of the Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan named after A. Osmonov in 1986.
Member of the USSR Union of Writers since 1951.
Awarded medals for "Labor Distinction," "For Valorous Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin," "Veteran of Labor," and Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR.
