Poet Ergeshbay Uzakbaev

He began his working biography in 1941 as a primary school teacher in his native school, where he later served as the deputy director. From 1951 to 1959, he was a literary employee of the regional newspaper "Ysyk-Kol Pravdasy," and from 1972 to 1986, he was the deputy editor of this newspaper. In 1959, he was appointed deputy editor of the Karakol newspaper "Emgek Tuusu," and from 1959 to 1962, he worked as a literary consultant for the Writers' Union of Kyrgyzstan in the Issyk-Kul region, and from 1965 to 1972, he was the responsible secretary of the district newspaper "Kommunisttik Emgek."
His creative biography began with the publication of the poem "Olbos Dank" ("Immortal Glory") in the magazine "Ala-Too" in 1943, dedicated to the feat of Cholponbay Tuleberdiev in the Great Patriotic War. His first poetry collection "Yrlаr Zhiyngagy" ("Collection of Poems") was published in 1949.
He has been a member of the CPSU since 1960 and a member of the USSR Writers' Union since 1944.
He was awarded the medals "For Labor Valor," "Veteran of Labor," and Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
