Improvisational poet Ismail Boronchiev


Improvisational poet I. Boronchiev was born in 1910 - 1978 in the village of Alchaluu, Chui region of the Kyrgyz SSR, in a family of poor peasants.
In 1929, he joined a collective farm. This period marks the beginning of his creative activity. He became known among the people as a singer-improviser.
In 1936, he was accepted as a soloist in the Kyrgyz State Philharmonic. That same year, his poem "The First Five-Year Plan" was published for the first time, followed by the poem "Shambet" in 1940, and in 1949, "Yrlard Zhiyangy" ("Collection of Poems"). A significant part of I. Boronchiev's work consists of aitys — competitive songs, which he performed together with his partner T. Shabdanbaev. They were published in the books "Aityshlar" ("Aitys") and "Kyzyl Kyrman" ("Red Tok").
In 1969, he wrote a memoir titled "Yrchynyn Emuru" ("The Life of a Singer").
In 1973, a book titled "Red Tok" was published in Russian. The outstanding performing mastery of the singer-improviser I. Boronchiev was known throughout the republic.
People's Artist of the Kyrgyz SSR (1958).
Member of the CPSU since 1946, member of the Union of Soviet Writers since 1938.
Awarded the Orders of the Red Banner of Labor and "Badge of Honor," as well as medals "For Labor Distinction," "For Labor Valor," "For Valorous Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," "For Valorous Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of V.I. Lenin's Birth," and Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Distinguished Cultural Worker of the USSR.
Elected as a deputy of the Frunze City Council of People's Deputies of the 5th-7th convocations.
