Born in the city of Rzhev, Tver Oblast, Russia.

Graduated from the Leningrad Physical and Mathematical Institute (1932).

Worked as an assistant at the Leningrad Physical and Mathematical Institute, head of the department at the Leningrad Engineering and Economic Institute, head of the department at the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR, head of the department and dean at Petrozavodsk State University, head of the department at Kuibyshev Polytechnic Institute.

Specialist in the field of metal physics.

Published more than 130 scientific works.

Under his supervision, 12 candidate dissertations were defended.
