Leonov Mikhail Yakovlevich (1912-1992),
Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1949), Professor (1950), Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR (1961)
Russian. Born in the village of Golovino, Armenian SSR.
Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Civil Engineering (1934), Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Dnipropetrovsk State University (1937).
Worked at a design plant, head of the department at the Institute of Machine Engineering and Automation of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, head of the laboratory, deputy director, head of the department at the Institute of Physics and Mathematics, chief researcher at the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR.
Specialist in the field of mechanics of deformable solid bodies.
Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republic (1987). Published over 200 scientific works, including 3 monographs.
Under his supervision, doctoral and candidate dissertations were defended.
