Chormonov Melis Bakasovich (1943),

Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Temirovka, Issyk-Kul region.

Graduated from KGU (1964), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Physics and Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR (1969).

Worked as a research associate, head of the laboratory at the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, head of the department, vice-rector of KJPI, and since 1994 - rector of the Bishkek Academy of Tourism.

Specialist in the field of mechanics of solid deformable bodies.

Published more than 100 scientific works.

Under his supervision, 5 candidate dissertations have been defended.
