Kyrgyz. Born in Frunze.
Graduated from KGU (1973), postgraduate studies at the A.F. Ioffe Institute of Physics and Technology of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Leningrad, 1985), doctoral studies at the Institute of Physics and Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (1994).
Worked as a senior engineer, junior researcher, senior researcher, and since 1996 - head of the laboratory at the Institute of Physics and Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. Specialist in the field of rock mechanics and solid-state physics.
Published more than 60 scientific papers.
