Russian. Born in the settlement of Meshchura, Zheleznodorozhny District, Komi ASSR.
Graduated from Almaty Polytechnic Institute (1972).
Worked as an engineer, senior researcher, head of the laboratory of FPI, deputy head of the department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, director of the Institute of Mining and Geology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, and since 1993 - rector of KRSU. Specialist in the field of explosive works. Academician of the International Academy of Informatization (1996), International Academy of Sciences of Higher Education (1997), MIA (2000). Honored Engineer of Russia (2000), Foreign Member of the Academy of Mining Sciences. Honored Figure of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (1997).
Published more than 80 scientific works, including 28 author certificates.
Under his supervision, 1 doctoral and 3 candidate dissertations have been defended.
