Mamitov Aman Mamitovich

Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1962), Professor (1962), Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR (1961), Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology (1996)
Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Bosteri, Issyk-Kul region.
Graduated from KSAHI (1949).
Worked as a research associate, head of the department at KGU, head of the Ministry's management, director of the Institute, vice-president, chairman of the Division of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR, director of the Institute of Mountain Soil Science of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, member of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and head of the department of mountain soil science at the Biological and Soil Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Specialist in the genesis and cartography of mountain soils.
Academician of the All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1978).
Awarded the Orders of the Red Banner of Labor (2), Friendship of Peoples, medals of the USSR, and Honorary Certificates of the Supreme Soviet of the Kirghiz SSR. Honored Scientist of the Kirghiz SSR. More than 300 scientific works published.
Under his supervision, 7 doctoral and 43 candidate dissertations were defended.
