Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Ton, Ton District, Issyk-Kul Region.
Graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Kyrgyz State Pedagogical Institute (1947).
Worked as head of the department at the party school of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, chairman of the Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan, head of the sector, director, head of the department of the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, and since 1999 - Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Specialist in the field of philosophy and aesthetics.
Awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and medals of the USSR.
Honored Worker of Science of the Kyrgyz SSR (1985).
Published more than 150 scientific works, including 10 monographs.
