Born in the village of Kara-Suu in the At-Bashinsky district of Naryn region. Graduated from KSU (1952). Worked as a teacher in secondary school, junior and senior research fellow, head of the sector, deputy director of the Institute of Pedagogy, dean, prorector of KGNU, director of the Kyrgyz National Institute of Pedagogy, since 1992 - director of KIO.
Specialist in the field of didactics. Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical and Social Sciences of the Russian Federation (1996). Awarded medals of the USSR (1970, 1984), Order of the Badge of Honor (1971). Honored Teacher of the Kyrgyz SSR (1983). Published more than 150 scientific works, including 9 monographs, 20 textbooks and teaching aids. Under his supervision, 3 doctoral and 22 candidate dissertations have been defended.
