
Artykbaev Kachkynbay (1934), Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of Science and Technology
Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Keper-Aryk, Moscow District, Chui Region.
Graduated from KSU (1956), postgraduate studies (1966). Worked as head of the department at the editorial office of the newspaper "Leninchil Zhas," the magazine "Ala-Too," the editorial office of fiction literature at the publishing house "Kyrgyzstan," as a senior lecturer, associate professor, professor, dean, and since 1976 - head of the department at KGNU.
Specialist in Kyrgyz philology. Academician of the Public Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (1992). Honorary Academician of the International Aitmatov Academy (1999).
Awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and medals of the USSR. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Laureate of the J. Balasagyn Prize. Published more than 670 scientific works, including 12 monographs, literary-critical books, 17 textbooks and teaching aids. Under his supervision, 10 candidate dissertations have been defended.
