Musayev Syrtbay Zholdoshovich (1953),
Doctor of Philological Sciences (2000), Professor (2002), Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of Science and Technology (2002)
Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Kel-Tor, Ton District, Issyk-Kul Region.
Graduated from KGU (1976), completed a 2-year internship at the Institute of Linguistics of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Moscow, 1979), and postgraduate studies there (1982).
Worked as a junior, senior, leading research fellow, head of the sector, head of the department at the Institute of Language and Literature of the Kyrgyz SSR, senior lecturer, associate professor, head of the department, dean, acting professor at KGNU, and since 2000 - Vice-Rector for Academic and Scientific Work at the K.Tynystanov Institute.
Specialist in general Turkology and Kyrgyz linguistics, text linguistics. Awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Kyrgyz Republic (1999).
Published over 100 scientific works, including 5 monographs, 2 textbooks for higher education institutions, and 3 textbooks for secondary schools.
Under his supervision, 4 candidate dissertations have been defended.
