Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Cholpon, Kochkor District, Naryn Region.
Graduated from Tashkent Hydrometeorological Technical School (1968), KGU (1973), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR (1980).
Worked as a radio technician, meteorological technician at a hydrometeorological station, junior researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, secretary of the Komsomol committee, acting vice-rector for economic affairs, lecturer, senior lecturer, dean of KGNU, head of the department at the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, head of the department at the State Committee for Antimonopoly Policy, head of the department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, director of Bishkek Commercial College, and since 1998 - rector of BGIEK.
Specialist in the field of economic theory and the economy of the national economy. Published more than 40 scientific works, including 2 monographs.
Under his supervision, 1 candidate dissertation has been defended.
