Asanova Umut (1949), Doctor of Philosophy (2002)Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Bar-Bulak, Ton district, Issyk-Kul region. Graduated from KGU (1971), and completed postgraduate studies there (1981).
Worked as an English language teacher, lecturer at the Philosophy Department of KGU, lecturer and associate professor at KGMI, head of the department at KZPI (KGPU), scientific secretary, professor at KGPU, professor and head of the department at BGU, from 1997 - head of the International Department of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, simultaneously head of the department at KGMA, director of the Center for International Scientific Programs and Standards at the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (since 2001). Specialist in the field of philosophy.
Elected President of the Fulbright Association of Kyrgyzstan (2001). Honorary Professor of BGU (1996). Awarded the title "Woman of the Year-1999" by the American Biographical Institute. Laureate of the Fulbright Award (Congress of the USA Award, 1995).
Published over 70 scientific works, including 1 monograph.
