Graduated from KGU (1970), postgraduate studies at the A.M. Gorky Literary Institute (Moscow, 1975).
Worked as an editor at the State Committee of the Kyrgyz SSR for Television and Radio Broadcasting, teacher, senior teacher, associate professor at KGU, head of department, dean, senior researcher, and since 2001 - professor at BGU.
Specialist in Kyrgyz literary studies.
Published more than 80 scientific works, including 4 monographs, 2 literary-practical books, and 2 textbooks.
Under her supervision, 1 candidate dissertation has been defended.
