Shaymergenova Tamara Aydarkulovna (1938),

Kyrgyzstan. Born in the village of Karasu, At-Bashinsky District, Naryn Region.

Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Culture (1965), and completed postgraduate studies there (1981).

Worked as a senior librarian at the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic, teacher, senior teacher, associate professor, head of the department at KZPI, and since 1992 - head of the department, dean at BGU.

Specialist in the field of library science, bibliographic science, social information, and cultural studies.

Awarded the medal of the USSR.

Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic (1995).

Published more than 60 scientific works, including 6 monographs and 7 textbooks.
