Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Chon-Uryukty, Issyk-Kul District, Issyk-Kul Region.
Graduated from PGP Institute (Przhevalsk, 1975), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR (1984).
Worked as a senior laboratory assistant, engineer, senior engineer at PGP Institute, Tomsk Polytechnic Institute, junior and senior researcher, head of a section, head of a laboratory at the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, head of the department, dean of KGNU, and since 2001 - head of RUF.
Specialist in the field of geophysics.
Published more than 60 scientific works, including 3 monographs.
