Worked as a junior research fellow at the Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, head of the department at the Kyrgyz Research Institute of Pedagogy, vice-rector of the KGPU named after I. Arabayev, since 2002 - deputy director of the Kyrgyz Institute of Education.
Specialist in Kyrgyz philology and methods of teaching literature. Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic. Published over 200 scientific works, including 15 monographs. Under his supervision, 1 candidate dissertation has been defended.
