Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Shalba, Jeti-Oguz District, Issyk-Kul Region.
Graduated from the Faculty of History of Moscow State University (1950), and completed postgraduate studies there (1954).
Worked as a research associate at Moscow State University, junior research associate at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences, head of the department, deputy director of the Republican Party School under the Central Committee of the Communist Party, head of the department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, chairman of the State Committee for Secondary and Higher Education of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Education of the Kyrgyz SSR, director, head of the sector, leading research associate at the Institute of History of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Specialist in the history of Kyrgyzstan in the 20th century.
Awarded the Orders of the Red Banner of Labor (2), the Badge of Honor, medals of the USSR, and Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Published over 200 scientific works, including 40 monographs, books, and brochures.
