Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Dobetpai, Baku volost, Pishpek district.
Graduated from Kirgospedinstitute (1946), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Language, Literature, and History of the Kyrgyz branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1954).
Worked as a teacher in secondary school, assistant at Kirgospedinstitute, junior researcher at the Kyrgyz branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences, head of the department at the Kyrgyz correspondence pedagogical institute, dean of KJPI, senior lecturer, associate professor, head of the department, professor at KGU.
Specialist in the history of the Kyrgyz language, comparative phonetics, and lexicon of Turkic languages.
Awarded the Orders of the Red Star, Patriotic War II class, and medals of the USSR and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Honored Teacher of the Kyrgyz SSR. Published over 120 scientific works, including 5 dictionaries, 4 monographs, and 3 textbooks for higher education institutions.
Under his supervision, 6 candidate dissertations were defended.
