Aktanov Toichu Kuluntay Uulu (1910-1942) - a representative of the first generation of Kyrgyz Soviet scholars and educators.
He was born in the village of Kashka-Suu in the Alamudun district of Chui region. He studied in a Kyrgyz school until the 6th grade and then graduated from Russian school No. 6 in Bishkek. From 1927 to 1930, he studied at the Tashkent Pedagogical Institute. His father was repressed as a local kulak.
From 1938 to 1941, he worked as a teacher at the Frunze Pedagogical College, conducted scientific research, and served as the editor of the Kyrgyzstan publishing house. In 1937, he co-authored the book "Synopsis of the Syntax of the Kyrgyz Language" (in Latin script) with K.O. Bakeev. Between 1938 and 1940, his textbook on the Kyrgyz language for 6th-7th grades was published in three editions.
In 1938, the "Textbook of the Kyrgyz Language: (For Russian Groups)" was reissued (I. Batmanov, Kazan). He was one of the authors of the Kyrgyz orthography dictionary (Frunze, 1938).
His textbook co-authored with N.M. Abramov - "Alippe: For Teaching Reading and Writing," was published annually from 1947 to 1953.
The author of more than 10 textbooks was only 32 years old when his life was cut short. He died in the war in 1942.
