Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Saylyk, Frunze region.
Graduated from KSU (1953), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1962).
Worked as a junior, senior, and leading research fellow, head of the sector at the Institute of History of the Kyrgyz SSR, head of the Department of Manuscripts and Publications, and since 1994, head of the sector at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. Specialist in the study of the history of Turkic peoples.
Published more than 50 scientific works, including 4 monographs and 1 textbook.
