Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Kyrgyz-Ata, Nookat District, Osh Region.

Graduated from KGU (1964), postgraduate studies at MSU (Moscow, 1970).

Worked as an engineer, junior researcher at the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, senior lecturer, head of the department, associate professor at the Faculty of Physics and Engineering, head of the department at the Osh Higher Technological College, director of the Institute of New Technologies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, head of the department at the Higher Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic, professor, and since 2000 - head of the department at KTU.

Specialist in the field of radiophysics, optics, and holography.

Academician of the New York Academy of Sciences (1995), Member of the International Society for Optical Engineers (SPIE) (1996).

Published more than 90 scientific works, including 1 monograph, 2 textbooks, 6 inventions, and 6 patents.

Under his supervision, 1 candidate dissertation has been defended.
