Graduated from KGU (1971), and completed postgraduate studies there (1979).
Worked as a teacher at the Przhevalsky Pedagogical Institute, teacher, associate professor, senior researcher, professor, director of the International Center, director of MAI, deputy director of the Institute of International Relations of KGNU, since 1995 - Vice-Rector for Science and New Technologies at KGNU.
Specialist in comparative literary studies, theory, history, and poetics of artistic translation, Kyrgyz literature, and ethnocultural studies.
Academician of the International Academy of Sciences, Education, Industry, and Arts (USA, 1995), Central Asian Academy of Literature (2001).
Awarded with Honorary Certificates of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Order of the Kyrgyz Republic "Danaker" (2001), and the "Manas" medal (1995).
Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic (1993).
Published over 200 scientific works, including 1 monograph.
Under his supervision, 1 doctoral and 2 candidate dissertations have been defended.
