
Borbugulov Mukhtar Borbugulovich (1930), Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor (1970), Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology.
Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Kyz-Kol, Suzak District, Jalal-Abad Region. Graduated from KSU (1952), postgraduate studies at the Institute of World Culture of the USSR Academy of Sciences named after A.M. Gorky (1957).
Worked as the head of the department of the magazine "Ala-Too," associate professor, head of the department at KSU, chief editor of KSE, and since 1992 - leading research fellow at the Institute of Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Specialist in Kyrgyz literature. People's Writer of the Kyrgyz Republic (1995). Awarded medals of the USSR. Approximately 200 scientific works published, including several books. Under his supervision, 7 candidate dissertations have been defended.
