Kyrgyz. Born in the city of Karakol, Issyk-Kul region. Graduated from Voronezh State University (1983), postgraduate studies at Moscow State University (1987), doctoral studies at Kyrgyz National University (1995).
Worked as a lecturer at Przhevalsky Pedagogical Institute, senior lecturer, associate professor at ISU, lecturer at the Department of KNU, AUK, and since 1999 — Vice President for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor, Head of the "Ethnology of Kyrgyz" program at AUK. Specialist in Kyrgyz literature, folklore, and ethnology.
Published over 40 scientific works, including 1 monograph. Under her supervision, 1 candidate dissertation has been defended.
