The founding father of the city of Pishpek, General Gerasim Alekseevich Kolpakovsky. Karpinsky Street used to bear his name.

Dedicated to Doctor Andrei Nikolayevich Denisov, who has done so much for the restoration of historical photographs of the city of Pishpek-Frunze-Bishkek.

Mikhail Grigorievich Chernyaev 1828 - 1898. Turkestan General Governor. In June 1864, a detachment under his command (at that time he was a colonel) left a Cossack post at the site of the destroyed Kokand fortress Pishpek. (This is where the city actually began)

Pyotr Mikhailovich Shorokhov 1840 - 1914. Buried at the Botkin Cemetery in Tashkent. Participated twice in the capture of the Pishpek fortress (in 1860 and 1862).

Apollon Ernestovich Zimmerman 1825 - 1884. As the commander in the Zailiysky region, captured the Pishpek fortress (in 1860).

Pishpek. Georgievsky cavalier Vasily Vasilyevich Obukh. Died in the autumn of 1864. During the first siege of the Pishpek fortress (in 1860), the breach battery under the command of Staff Captain Obukh made a unique shot - ending with a shell hitting the mouth of a Kokand cannon and getting stuck in it.

Mikhail Antonovich Vrochenetsky. (1832 - 1895) Artillery officer. For participating in the capture of the Pishpek fortress (in 1860), he received a gold sabre inscribed for bravery.

Mikhail Ivanovich Venyukov. 1832 - 1901. In 1860, (as a military geographer and staff captain of the general staff) conducted reconnaissance and description of the Pishpek fortress.
