The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Almazbek Atambayev, signed the Decree "On the awarding of state prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology for 2014," according to which, for achievements in the field of science and technology, and taking into account the decision of the Committee on State Prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology, it is decreed:
To award state prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology and to confer the title "Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology" for the work "Scientific support for the effective and safe development of gold ore deposits in the Kyrgyz Republic":
To Alibaev Atabek Pakhyrovich - Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology of Jalal-Abad State University, Doctor of Technical Sciences;

On October 20, 2014, President Almazbek Atambayev of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a decree "On amendments and additions to the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On the establishment of state prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology' dated December 5, 1991."
By the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the monetary component of the state prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic has been increased to 250,000 (two hundred fifty thousand) soms. Instead of 8 state prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic, 5 state prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic have been established for outstanding achievements in the field of science and technology, leading to a significant acceleration of the economic and social development of the country. One of them is named after Kasym Tynystanov, which is awarded for outstanding scientific works that contribute to the development of the state language. In addition, taking into account the previously adopted decisions by the Head of State on the development of historical science, as well as research in other areas of the humanities, one of the state prizes will be awarded for scientific works in the field of humanities.
This decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic is also aimed at enhancing the prestige and significance, as well as the requirements for scientific works submitted for the state prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology.
In particular, scientific works and developments in the field of science and technology must contain results of research addressing relevant problems for Kyrgyzstan and have a significant impact on improving the efficiency of its economy and the well-being of its citizens.
Additionally, scientific works must be published in print, including foreign publications, and new types of equipment, materials, and technologies must be mastered in production for at least two years by the time of submission for the state prize.
Furthermore, scientific works in the fields of natural and technical sciences must contain scientific results obtained in the last 20 years, while in the field of humanities - in the last 10 years (the latter must have reprints).
The awarding of state prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology is timed to coincide with the Day of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic - November 10.
