Aldashev Almaz Abdulhaevich (1953), Doctor of Biological Sciences (1999), Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (2000), Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of Science and Technology (1996)

Kyrgyz. Born in Frunze. Graduated from the 2nd MOLGMI (1977), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1980).

Worked as a junior researcher at the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, senior researcher at the National Cardiology Research Institute, head of the laboratory, head of the department at the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic. Specialist in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology.

Honored Worker of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic. Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize of Kyrgyzstan in the field of Science and Technology (1985). Published more than 100 scientific works, including 2 chapters in collective monographs and 1 invention.

Under his supervision, 2 candidate dissertations have been defended.

1. Smooth muscle cells isolated from discrete compartments of the mature vascular media exhibit unique phenotypes and distinct growth capabilities (co-authored). Circ. Res., 1997, 81: 940-952.
