Kyrgyz. Born in the city of Karakol, Issyk-Kul region.
Graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Moscow State University (1955), postgraduate studies at the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1958)
Worked as a junior and senior research associate, head of the laboratory, deputy director, and director; since 1994 - head of the helminthology laboratory at the Institute of Biology and Pedology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Specialist in ecological botany and ecology.
Awarded medals of the USSR, Honorary Certificate of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR (1982).
Honored Worker of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (1993).
Published more than 200 scientific works, including 7 monographs.
Under his supervision, 14 candidate dissertations have been defended.
