Soroko Svyatoslav Iosifovich (1942),

Doctor of Medical Sciences (1978), Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR (1989), Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR in the field of science and technology (1987)

Belarusian. Born in the Brest region.

Graduated from the Leningrad Sanitary and Hygienic Medical Institute (1967).

Worked as the director and head of the neurophysiology laboratory at the Institute of Physiology and Experimental Pathology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR. Specialist in the neurophysiological mechanisms of adaptation and brain self-regulation. Awarded the medal of the USSR.

Published over 100 scientific works, including 6 monographs.

Under his supervision, doctoral and candidate dissertations have been defended.
