Graduated from KGU (1985), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR (1990).
Worked as a junior researcher, senior researcher at the BP Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, trainer-consultant, deputy director of the Counterpart Consortium, consultant to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Kyrgyz Republic, since 1995 - chairman of the Kyrgyz Ornithological Scientific Society and since 1998 - director of the Counterpart Consortium.
Specialist in the field of ornithology.
Academician of the New York Academy of Sciences (1995). Published more than 40 scientific works, including 4 monographs.
