Kenzhebay Akmatovich Akhmatov (1932-1995), Doctor of Biological Sciences (1980).Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Chyrak, Jeti-Oguz District, Issyk-Kul Region.
Graduated from the Faculty of Biology of KSU (1954), postgraduate studies at the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR (1957). Worked as Deputy Director and Director of the Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR. Specialist in the field of botany and plant physiology.
Awarded medals of the USSR, Honorary Certificate, and Certificate of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR. Published more than 60 scientific works, including 3 monographs and 5 methodological developments. Under his supervision, 3 candidate dissertations were defended.
