Cnidiocarpa alaica M. Pimen
Status: VU. It is a rare little-known representative of the monotypic genus (a unique element of the world genetic fund) and is still known on the southern slope of the Alai Mountain Range (near Karamyk village not far from the Tajikistan border), where these perennial plants populate swamped places in the bottomlands of river gorges. The number is insignificant, and plants occur in small groups. The period of flowering is in July, and fruiting occurs in August. There is no information on reproduction, cultivation, and existing protection for the species. It is necessary to organize the protection of habitats and continue the study of the area and biology of this species.
