Status: VU. It is a rare species endemic to Kyrgyzstan, one of three congeners distributed in the Republic. This perennial monocarpous plant is gypsophilous and populates limestone denudations in the Chatkal and Fergana Mountain Ranges and in the valleys of the Naryn and Bekechal Rivers, in small separated groups. Period of flowering: May - June, fruiting in June - July. Propagation is presumably generative (by seeds) only. The number is insignificant, limiting factors are not revealed, and data on cultivation are absent. Several populations are protected by common routine in the Bash-Aral Nature Reserve. The arrangement of habitat conservation for other populations is recommended to conserve the species.
