Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Ak-Beshim, Chui region.
Graduated from KSU (1952), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Zoology and Parasitology of the Kyrgyz Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1955).
Worked as a junior research fellow, head of the zoological museum, associate professor of the zoology department, dean of the biological faculty, and since 1988 - head of the department at KGNU.
Specialist in the field of ecology, ecological cytogenetics of vertebrates, and general biology.
Awarded the Honorary Certificate of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR, and the "Dank" medal.
Honored Worker of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Published more than 160 scientific works, including 4 monographs, 4 popular science books, and 1 textbook.
Under his supervision, 4 candidate dissertations have been defended.
