Born in Frunze. Graduated from the Moscow Geological Exploration Institute (1963), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Geology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR (1968).
Worked as a geological engineer at the Geological Management, senior engineer, junior researcher, senior researcher, head of the laboratory, deputy director for science at the Institute of Geology of the Kyrgyz SSR, chairman of the State Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic for Nature Protection, Minister of Environmental Protection, director of the "Ecoproject" Center at KRSU, currently - advisor to the speaker of the ZP of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Specialist in the fields of petrology, mineralogy, geochemistry, ecological geochemistry, and general ecology. Academician of the International Academy of Informatization (1996). Awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor (1986), Honorary Certificate of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR (1979), Honorary Certificate of the Kyrgyz Republic (1993), medal of the Kyrgyz Republic.
