Surgaï Vladimir Trofimovich (1911-1994),


Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1979)

Russian. Born in the city of Fergana, Uzbek SSR. Graduated from Leningrad State University (Leningrad, 1941).

Worked as a senior geologist, chief geologist of the Kungoy and Chauvaï geological exploration parties, head of the sector, deputy director for science, head of the laboratory, senior research associate at the Institute of Geology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR.

Specialist in the field of regional geochemistry and metallogeny of the Tien Shan.

Awarded medals of the USSR, a Certificate of Honor, and certificates from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kirghiz SSR.

Published more than 60 scientific works, including 2 monographs.

Under his supervision, 7 candidate dissertations were defended.
