Born in the village of Tilekmat in the Issyk-Kul region. Graduated from the FPI (1957), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Geology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR. Worked as a junior researcher, senior researcher, head of the laboratory at the Institute of Geology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, Vice-Rector for Research at the FPI, and Rector of KG-MI.
Specialist in ore formation and metallogeny. Academician of the Engineering Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic. Honored Worker of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (1991). Published over 160 scientific works, including 5 monographs.
