The Union of Hiking Tourism of Kyrgyzstan is pleased to announce the completion of the Action "Taza Too - Clean Mountains" 2014, during which three clean-up events were held in the Alamedin and Kegety gorges, as well as in the Issyk-Ata gorge.
The sponsors of the event were the OSCE and the "Helvetas Kyrgyzstan" project, organized by the Union of Hiking Tourism of Kyrgyzstan, the Department of Tourism of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Student Movement of the Kyrgyz Republic. Media partners: "5 Channel" and "Azattyk" radio.
As a result of the three clean-up events, about 5-6 tons of household waste were collected and removed. It should be noted that local self-governments, such as the Tash-Moynok Ayil Okmotu, Kegety Ayil Okmotu, and the Issyk-Ata Akimat, along with the management of the Issyk-Ata resort, assisted in the removal of waste by providing transportation.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers who did not stand aside and actively participated in the clean-ups!
We urge the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic to take care of the beauty of their homeland and to participate in clean-up events in their regions, which can enhance the tourist attractiveness of each region of our country.
We would like to remind once again that cleanliness is not where they clean, but where they do not litter!
