The annual sailing regatta Issyk-Kul Grand Prix – 2014 will take place on July 27 on Issyk-Kul, aimed at promoting sailing among youth and developing tourism in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the international public foundation "Rosa Otunbayeva Initiative," the Issyk-Kul Grand Prix is the only regatta for beginners, organized by experienced sailing specialists.
The sailing regatta will start in the city of Cholpon-Ata. Four crews will participate, competing for the annual traveling cup of the Issyk-Kul Grand Prix. The judge will be professional sports referee Viktor Bryukhov, who has participated in international regattas.
The organizers are the "Rosa Otunbayeva Initiative" Foundation and the Sailing Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
