The exhibition "Ak Chardak" represents a creative report on 50 years of work by artists from the Issyk-Kul region. The exhibition is very large-scale and occupies the entire first floor of the museum. More than 80 artists from several generations are participating in the exhibition. This is the first time that such a composition – the classics of the Kyrgyz school of the 50s and 60s and contemporary artists from the Issyk-Kul region – are being exhibited together, which adds significant importance to this exhibition.

“Tell me, what inscription do you see in my work 'The Ruler's Boat'?” – asked participant Kadyrbek Musaev to the visitors.

Guests looked closely at the stones and replied: “Vladimir Putin.”

- Indeed, I collected this work over many years, about two or three stones a year. In fact, I work as a theatrical artist and believe that a person practically does not invent anything new, but takes everything from nature. I also collected my work 'Nursultan Nazarbayev' for many years, and it is currently with the president of Kazakhstan. By the way, children read the inscriptions on the stones much faster than adults, – said Kadyrbek Musaev.

The Union of Artists of the Issyk-Kul region was formed as artistic-production workshops on April 14, 1964, in Przhevalsk. The organizers and ideological inspirers were the luminaries of Kyrgyz visual art – Gapar Aitiev and Jumabay Umetov.

- I take the plots for my paintings from nature. I saw all of this on the stone. I dedicate my works to the Great Manas, Pablo Picasso, and the hunter Akai. All my paintings are philosophical, – said artist Karypbek Ryskeldie.

Of course, almost all works were imbued with the spirit of the magical Issyk-Kul lake; the artists were raised on contemplating its beauty.

- We live and create closer to nature and everything natural, away from civilization. The spirit of Issyk-Kul is reflected in our works. I present rare photographs. After all, to photograph a snow leopard, you need to wander after it; all of this was shot high in the mountains, – noted photo artist Alexander Vereshchagin.
