Olga Petrovna Popova

Popova Olga Petrovna
(1933-2006)Art historian. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on January 2, 1933, in the city of Talas. In 1964, she graduated from the Faculty of History (Department of History and Theory of Art) of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
From 1964 to 1969, she worked as the head of creative sections of the Union of Artists of Kyrgyzstan, and since 1969, she served as the chief editor of the artistic-expert board of the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Since 1967, she has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
She engaged in active creative, editorial, and public activities. Author of books and articles on Kyrgyz visual art. Conducted research on the topic "Landscape Painting of Kyrgyzstan" and was a member of the editorial board of the multi-volume publication of the Academy of Arts of the USSR "Art of the Peoples of the USSR".
