Momunaliev Anarbek Ashimbekovich
Graph. Born on September 22, 1949, in the village of Ivanovo-Alekseevka, Talas District, Talas Region.
In 1969, he graduated from the Frunze Art College, and in 1974 - from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute.
From 1974 to 1975 - art editor at the "Kyrgyzstan" publishing house. In 1976 - art editor of the magazine "Zhas Leninchi", from 1982 to 1986 - head of the art design department at the "Kyrgyzstan" publishing house, from 1987 to 1990 - chief artist of the State Publishing House, from 1990 to 1991 - head of the art design department at the "Adabiyat" publishing house, and since 1992 - head of the design department at the I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State Pedagogical University, and later at the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport, and Architecture.
While working on illustrations and artistic design of books, Anarbek Momunaliev has distinguished himself in graphic techniques that are labor-intensive and require a cohesive, concise solution - these include etching, lithography, monotype, aquatint, and others.
Participant in republican, all-union, and international exhibitions. His works are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev; in museums of the CIS and private collections.
Since 1978 - member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
