Dzhaliyev Batyr
Painter. Graphic artist. People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on December 15, 1935, in the village of Kashgar-Kishlak, Karasuu District, Osh Region.
In 1964, he graduated from the Frunze Art College. From 1977 to 1982, he was the director of the Art and Production Workshops in the city of Osh. From 1987 to 1992, he served as the chairman of the Osh branch of the Union of Artists of the Republic.
He consistently develops industrial and agricultural themes, conveying the characteristics of the labor life in the southern part of the republic. His landscape works capture the colors of the southern nature with its hot air, sun-baked earth, cotton fields, and mulberry trees. Since 1996, he has been working in a different direction - avant-garde.
Since 1968, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Participant in republican and international exhibitions. His works are housed in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev and in private collections abroad.
