Budaychiev Bayyshbek Dakiyevich


Art historian, candidate of art studies, professor. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Academician of the National Academy of Arts named after T. Sadykov (2005). Born on August 19, 1944, in the village of Chym-Korgon, Kemin district, Chui region. In 1969, he graduated from the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute named after A.N. Ostrovsky and completed his postgraduate studies at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture named after I.E. Repin of the Academy of Arts of the USSR.

In 1978, he was accepted into the Union of Artists of the USSR and the Union of Artists of Kyrgyzstan.

He worked as the head of the Department of Cultural and Educational Work at the B. Beyshenalieva Institute of Arts, an instructor, and deputy head of the Culture Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan. He served as the first deputy chairman of the board of the Kyrgyz Culture Fund, vice-rector for academic and scientific work at the State Higher Art College, which was transformed into the Academy of Arts of Kyrgyzstan, and professor of the Department of World Culture at the National Conservatory.

Since 2000, he has been the deputy dean for academic affairs of the Kyrgyz-Arab Faculty and head of the Department of Theory and History of Fine Arts at the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport, and Architecture. He lectures on the history of domestic and foreign art, cultural studies, and aesthetics.
