Ryskeldieva Zulaykha Kochorbaevna
Artist-craftsman. Born on January 8, 1958, in the town of Rybachye.
In 1984, she graduated from the Kyrgyz State Art College named after S.A. Chuykov, specializing in decorative design. From 1984 to 1996, she was a visual arts teacher at M. Gorky Secondary School in the village of Bokonbaeva, Issyk-Kul region; from 1995 to 1999, she worked as a designer at the NGO "Altyn Oymok"; from 1999 to 2001, she served as the director of NGO "Altyn Oymok"; and from 1998 to 2003, she was the head of the "Folk Art" club at the branch of the Republican Educational and Methodological Center for Aesthetic Education (RUMCAV) in the village of Bokonbaeva. Since 2000, she has collaborated with the U.S. Peace Corps on the "Overcoming Poverty in Rural Areas" program, leading projects for the development of new felt product samples.
Since 2003, she has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic and has participated in republican and international exhibitions.
She has been awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, a Certificate of Honor from the Issyk-Kul regional administration, a diploma from the International Festival "Osh 3000," and a diploma for winning the crafts competition "Golden Heritage of Central Asia" (Almaty).
The best works of the artist are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, in the Directorate of Exhibitions and Panoramas (Moscow), as well as in private collections in the CIS and abroad.
